Time out nyc theatre district restaurants11/24/2023 ![]() ![]() This person was handling our food on several occasions. Service was very good, though given Delta variant, was very disappointed that one of our servers was not wearing a mask (chin strapper). I wish I tried the fruit instead, which came in some sort of baked cup with a scoop of fresh creme. rare, slightly grisly, but 100% flavorful! Came with a side of veg, which was ok.Ĭhocolate torte for dessert was decadent, but a bit dry. Tuna carpaccio and avocado starter was delicate and delicious. MoreĮnjoyed the prix fixe lunch menu with app, main and dessert for $42 for a lunch meeting at The Terrace located in The sleek Edition Hotel in Times Square last week. Great dish but only 2 slices of duck breast.įor dessert, we have a fantastic I LOVE NY CHOCOLATE SOUFFLÉ, grand marnier ice cream and a cheesecake, lemon thyme streusel, blueberry compote, and candied lemon, excellent.įor a special occasion or a really enjoyable dining experience, The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens is the place to go. pickled eggplant, black plum jam, and polenta. All were great.įor mains, my wife ordered the hearty carrot Bolognese, whole wheat lumache braised mushrooms & walnuts. Then the domestic Burrata, sungold tomatoes with, basil, black bread. Also the Tie dye salad, roasted beets, Coach Farm’s goat cheese pistachio with a blackberry vinaigrette. Started with an unusual and superb Royal Trumpet mushroom carpaccio, fennel barigoule, baby arugula, and parmesan. The hearty menu includes homemade pastas, steaks, and chops as well as a variety of vegetable. It is a chef & restaurateur John Fraser restaurant. Friends are regulars here so the staff knows them well. Located in the fairly new Edition Hotel at Times Square. It’s a much-needed oasis within Times Square. Nevertheless, I would of course recommend this place, for breakfast, lunch (brunch on weekends), and dinner. I had to pay with credit card and the restaurant incurred me in unfavorable exchange rates and fees from my bank. Not quite sure I got what they tried to explain but nobody at any time during my stay, warned me about this. And finally, what really annoyed me the most during my visit, is that the restaurant did not accept cash as payment. The toilet, even though it is marked as wheelchair accessible, has a door that does not allow for a wheelchair to access the handicap booth freely and comfortably. On one side there was a flowerpot that did not allow for the wheelchair to go through, and on the other side were guests that were asked to move for the wheelchair to pass. On the downside: I felt the menu was a bit limited but absolutely nothing to worry about though no pancakes the day I was craving for some!!! The wheelchair friendliness felt a bit short from standards although I was able to make it to the appointed outdoor seating, the pathway was not very well thought-out. I’d even dare to say Terrace and Garden’s coffee was the best I had throughout my overall stay in NYC. The food is high quality, especially pastries and coffee. The pace is set by you, not by the restaurant, which felt perfect for breakfast. The staff are friendly, assistive, and solicitous without becoming overwhelming nor rushed. The setting is beautiful, and although a bit secluded, it actually makes you feel like within a real garden. ![]() you enter a quiet, relaxing and unchaotic place. As you step into the property, The Edition Hotel, you completely get rid of the Times Sq. On the upside: the place is lovely and doesn’t feel like belonging to Times Sq. ![]() I absolutely wanted to love this place but not fully did.
